Emergency Lights / Testing

Emergency lighting is a primary life safety system provided to assist occupants to evacuate in the case of an emergency and, if necessary, to safely permit certain tasks e.g. a controlled shutdown.

Emergency lighting includes standby lighting and emergency escape lighting. Escape lighting is further subdivided into escape route, open, area and high risk task area lighting.

  • Duration test of all emergency lights
  • Operation of the lights
  • Positioning of the lights
  • Positioning of the signs
  • Each light will be numbered (if not already there)
  • Full log book
  • Full report including defects
  • Remedial costs (if necessary)
